Attractive colour illustration to front board. The author is presumed to be the same as Alex C. Ross, though this is unproven. Rare | Original fairly large-format full cloth in vgc for age, with light fraying to bottom cm or so of spine hinges, moderate rubbing along spine hinges, light rubbing to outer corners of boards, and patch of surface scratching towards centre of upper margin of front board. Plain-pencilled bookseller number to ffep, with traces of erased red-pencilled former owner’s signature. Rear inner paper hinge beginning to crack in places, but mostly intact. Trace of creasing to lower margin of leaf comprising pp. 99-100, and occasional minor marginal ink stains, but no deliberate internal markings or other faults found. A very good copy for its age of this rare and interesting work |
