This book is a curio that has become rare and sought-after Original full pebbled purple cloth in vgc, with spine sun-faded; moderate wear to extremities of spine, and light wear to outer corners of boards. Gilt titling and separate silver zodiacal illustration to front board remain strong and bright. Gilt titling to spine only slightly faded. This copy with plain-pencilled ownership signature of notable British astrological researcher Arthur Mather to ffep. Old plain-pencilled bookseller notes to front paste-down. Top edge of page block gilt, as issued. Colour fold-out ‘Ancient Egyptian Chart of the Earth’s Zodiac’ present and intact before p. 91.
