The Astrolearn bookshop is temporarily closed for 14 days Friday December 13th to Thursday December 26th inclusive. This is because of the unreliability of the Christmas post and very high volumes of writing and editing work over this period. Please check back on Friday December 27th, when the shop will reopen and this notice will be removed.
Alan Leo – The Progressed Horoscope 1923, Copy 1
£45.00
Description
hb | Leo, Alan | The Progressed Horoscope: A Sequel to The Art of Synthesis Wherein the Progression of the Horoscope Is Exhaustively Considered, Both in Principle and in Practice | 2nd, revised | Modern Astrology Office, Imperial Buildings, Ludgate Circus, London, E.C. | 1923 | £45 | Paginates the same as the 2nd edition of 1913. This is probably the first posthumous edition of the book, which would explain the lack of changes since the 1913 edition | Original full green vertically ribbed cloth in vgc+ condition, with light wear to foot of spine and light rubbing to top of spine and tips of outer corners of boards; slight bumps to top edges of boards at their centre and to lower outer corners, very small crease to cloth at centre of spine, else near-fine. Front inner paper hinge shows very slight tearing to lower and central sections, but underlying hinge is strong. Rear inner paper hinge torn at top 4 cm and bottom 1 cm, otherwise intact, and binding remains strong. Free endpapers slightly toned. No internal markings or other faults found. Overall, an excellent, very well-conserved copy of this early edition. |
