Appears materially unaltered from the third edition, with just a short added introductory note about Pluto. | Original full green cloth in good overall condition, with 2 cm tear in cloth to top of rear spine hinge, moderate rubbing to top of spine hinge, white paint stain or similar to foot of spine and a small patch upon spine surface; wear to cloth over lower outer corner of front board; and light rubbing to other outer corners. Gilt titling to front board still clear to read, with a few characters partly faded; gilt titling to spine has nearly all perished. Plain-pencilled bookseller price to ffep. Internally, a very clean copy. Binder has accidentally bound in pages 193-208 in duplicate, but no pages are missing, so complete. Overall, a good+ copy of this 1940s-era printing, perhaps the last in the old-style green cloth binding. |
