The text portion of the book ends on p. 354, which matches the length of the 3rd edition of 1912 | Original full green cloth in vgc for age, with gilt titling to front board still bright and strong; to spine, it is fairly bright. Light rubbing to extremities of spine hinges; patchy discoloration to lower margin of rear board and parts of bottom edges of boards; a little wear to parts of top edge of front board, otherwise an excellent binding. Page-edges somewhat foxed. Internally, an excellent, clean, strongly bound copy. Small old John Watkins of London bookseller sticker to ffep, which bears two childlike previous owner’s plain-pencilled marks. No permanent markings or other faults found |
