About this Book Scan
Carefully scanned in full colour from our original printings of the individual separate issues for January to October 1938, complete with covers, and the Astrological Association’s bound issue (without covers, as part of a standard-issue bound volume for the whole year) for November to December 1938. These six issues collectively were dubbed Volume 35 of the New Series of Modern Astrology.
The year 1933 marked a move to a less demanding bimonthly schedule. This is reflected in our reduced asking price for all volumes from 1933 onwards as compared with the earlier whole-year monthly ones.
Modern Astrology magazine was launched in August 1895 by Alan Leo and ran as a monthly until well after his death in 1917 before eventually settling into bimonthly publication in the 1930s.
It provides a mine of insight into the astrological community surrounding Alan and Bessie Leo and their associates and successors.
