The Straggling Astrologer was an important short-lived weekly astrological magazine published in England in 1824. It ran through a succession of mostly anonymous or pseudonymous editorial line-ups during its short life. Robert Cross Smith (Raphael) became involved part-way through publication. After the magazine folded, the unsold sheets were bound up with a fresh title page reading The Astrologer of the 19th Century – Sixth Edition in 1825. It was not the sixth edition but the first thus.
