Marguerite Mertens-Stienon was a teacher for the Theosophical University set up to propagate the teachings of Helena Petrona Blavatsky. Her book Studies in Symbolism: Theogonic & Astronomical is an examination of the planets and zodiac signs as symbols from a theosophical perspective, heavily referencing Blavatsky’s ideas, and will be of interest to all students of theosophy and theosophical astrology in particular.
