About this Book Scan
Carefully reproduced in full colour from our original printing of the 1893 first edition.
The Reverend Ethelbert W. Bullinger wrote The Witness of the Stars as an illustrated study of the history of the mythology associated with the constellations, showing particular interest in references to them in the Bible. Both zodiacal and non-zodiacal constellations are covered. Although belonging to the realm of cultural astronomy and not specifically astrological, it formed an influential part of the cultural background to the study of astrology in its day, and enjoyed multiple printings.
