Ethel Bret Harte was one of a number of writers on the signs of the zodiac from a theosophical spiritual perspective in the early 20th century. Her short book Zodiacal Influences from Seed to Flower (1927) ascribes keywords to each pair of polar signs and then explores the pairings in its six chapters.
