[1] Where there are copies with variant covers held of the same fascicules, Copies A denote copies with glued-on printed labels and Copies B denote copies printed directly onto the card. It is presumed from the available evidence that the copies A with the printed labels are likely to have been a slightly later issue

[2] As printed on front cover title label; internally the latter date is given as 21 novembre

[3] NB: this course, here held only in part, was issued with a confusing numbering system: all the parts ending in ‘-a’ come first, followed by all the parts ending in ‘-b’, so ‘2-b’ is in fact a later part of the course than 20-a

[4] Copy A of the present fascicule is in a generic folder printed “Supplément Astres 52 Fascicule no”, but with no number to complete this, and no adhered title label. This may have been a makeshift use of a spare folder since the evidence of the second, presumed original-print-run copy suggests that the fascicule was originally published as a supplement to Astres 50. However, the fascicule seems likely, in common with some of the Series A fascicules, to have been edited and reprinted, in view of the additional pages to the 1952-issue copies of this fascicule and some of the aforementioned others.

[5] The final leaf ends ‘Fin du Cours sur les Révolutions Solaires et Thèmes Annuels’, suggesting that there were no more fascicules in Series B after this one

[6] Both copies of fascicule X-1 are internally represented as ‘X-1’. Copy B of the fascicule, likely to be the original issue, is externally represented alike, but Copy A is instead represented on the front cover as ‘1-X’, which seems confusing as it is not ostensibly related to the theme of fascicules 1-a or 1-b, and instead seems to have been quite separate. It is listed after 1-b to 20-b as a separate item, alongside C-1 and C-2, in a full list of all the fascicules of Series B at the back of one of the other issues.
