[1] The titles “Almanach Astrologique, Scientifique, Astronomique, Physique, Satirique, Anecdotique, etc.” and “Almanach Prophétique” are mid-19th century satirical titles by a group that regarded astrology as a form of superstition and wanted to bring the French public to scientific enlightenment, but a few examples are included in the archive for their historical interest. The titles “L’Astrologue Universel ou Le Véritable Triple Liégeois” and “Le Nouveau Triple Almanac Liégeois, Astronomique et Universel” are general mass-market French almanacs including some astronomical information as well as a mass of miscellaneous information and stories, but are not particularly aimed at astrologers. Again, they are nonetheless of considerable historical interest in connection with a broader perspective on cultural astronomy. The remaining titles are properly astrological.

The title “Almanach de Madame de Delphes” makes mundane prophecies but these are not supported by astrological data and appear to be at least partly visionary in nature, although the author does make passing reference to astrology in her introductory comments
