After the original edition of 1935 | Original large-format full red cloth in vgc- condition, with one small triangular chip of cloth lost from top of rear side of spine; otherwise, binding in excellent condition for age, with minimal corner rubbing. In good original dj, which is chipped to top 2 cm of spine and top 3.5 cm of front flap-fold, partly extending to upper outer corner of front panel; minor tearing to top cm of rear flap-fold, and two small chips lost from surface of rear flap-fold; light wear to foot of spine; light rubbing and minimal tears to small parts of top and bottom edge of rear panel. Top edge of page block dyed red, as issued. Fore-edge lightly browned. Early black-inked gift inscription dated February 12th, 1928 to ffep. Printed pages free from all previous owner markings and faults. One of the aspect finders on the card of them bound in has been cut out (as designed) by a former owner; the other eight are still intact. Seven of the eight double-sided leaves of horoscope blanks still bound in and unmarked. The eighth was cut out (as designed) down the dotted line and has been lightly filled on one side only in plain pencil, but retained, laid in to the book; this blank has light rubbing and a short tear to the bottom edge.
