Former owner’s inked name and notes to upper margin of inside of front cover, to whose lower and inner margins there is a trace of mild liquid-staining, which leaves only a very slight halo to the lower margins of the first few preliminary leaves. Pp. ix-xii of Introduction with extensive inked underlining, rings around words and marginal astrological notes, mostly in black, a tiny bit in red. P. vii with one phrase only underlined in black ink. Pp. 3-4 of main text also with extensive black-inked underlining. Similar black-inked mark-up to pp. 137, 140-142, 146, 148-150, 217-218, 220-221, and 223. No markings found on the rest of the pages, although it is possible I might have missed a few minor ones. Overall, an acceptable reading and study copy of this rare book. Price factors in faults |
