Complete thus Early custom red half-cloth with decorative silver, white and black paper-covered boards, in near-fine condition. Paste-downs slightly creased and browned. Free endpapers slightly browned at inner margins where they are adhered to the original card covers, which have been retained. 1mm pinpoint insect hole through all pages and rear board, without effect on legibility of text, though partly crossing some characters. Title page with 8mm tear to top edge , far from text, and old Indian distributor’s stamp crossing lower publisher name. No other markings or faults found. Overall, a very good copy that has been well-conserved by the added half-cloth outer binding despite the one tiny insect hole. This original edition is very rare
