Complete | Original full red limp cloth in good condition, with 8mm separation to top of rear spine hinge and rubbing to all extremities of spine hinges; and moderate rubbing to surface of spine hinges and outer corners of boards. Gilt illustration and titling to front board still clear and mostly fairly strong, with some partial fading of gilt; gilt titling to spine faded but lettering still clear to read. Plain-pencilled inventory number to ffep. ‘Made in Great Britain’ stamp to reverse of title page. Upside-down inked name ‘Marguerite’ to lower margin of rear fep. No previous owner markings to any printed page found. Externally good; internally near-fine: overall, a near-very good copy. |
