Original full brown cloth in near-fine condition for age, with very light rubbing to extremities of spine, and light rubbing to outer corners of boards. Ffep with old stamp of The Scottish Astrological Lodge T.S., over the top of which a ‘Withdrawn’ stamp has been emblazoned in blue. A hand-written note beneath this advises ‘Previous owner sister of Isabel Pagan – author of “From Pioneer to Poet”‘. Plain-pencilled inventory number to upper margin of ffep. Occasional light plain-pencilled annotations to a small number of pages within, and one plain-pencilled marginal cross, but no permanent markings or other faults found. An excellent copy of the rare first edition, with added interest from its past history of ownership by one of the three Pagan sisters. |
