Light rubbing to three extremities of spine hinges and three outer corners of boards, else near-fine. Top edge of page block dyed red, as issued. Partly faded purple stamps of former owner to front and rear paste-downs, but no markings found to any internal page. Tipped-in frontispiece portrait of the author detaching from title page at lower half but still firmly attached at upper half. Light crease across lower outer margin of leaf comprising pp. 271-2. Binding cracked at inner paper hinge between pp. 354 and 355, but webbing holding. No other faults found
