Complete in [pp. 2-95] + 3 pages of advertisements | Original small-format cloth-covered boards with limp cloth spine. External binding in good overall condition for age, with spine particularly sound; cloth is, however, peeling from outer corners of boards and is stained commensurate with its age; small inked number to spine, repeated to upper margin of front paste-down. Internally, paper hinge split between pp. 64 and 65, but cords holding; upper part of binding slightly strained between pp. 30 and 31. Two words underlined in faint red pencil to p. 43; a little black-inked underlining and marginal bracketing to pp. 49 and 53; black-inked ring and word to p. 69; possible black-pencilled marginal bracket to p. 80 (although could be strong plain pencil). Erasable plain-pencilled annotations, marginal brackets and underlinings to a number of other pages. Overall, a good copy of the rare first edition, which invariably has some wear when found at all.
