Foulsham & Co., Ltd., 61 Fleet Street, E.C., London n.d. £50 Publisher address and binding style support this being the true first edition of 1920 Original full blue cloth with cream titling to front board and spine. In vgc, with minor rubbing. Minor internal tearing at short (c. 3 cm) part of gutter between front paste-down and ffep. Former owner’s inoffensive, erasable plain-pencilled annotations to quite a few pages within, including some interesting astrological calculations and diagrams, along with miscellaneous marginal bracketing and underlining (again, all plain-pencilled). On p. 65, the former owner has added ‘Sepharial died about 1930 of blood poisoning’. A well-read antiquarian original of the rare first edition, that remains in vgc as no permanent markings found.
