Foulsham & Co., 10 & 11 Red Lion Court n.d. £35 Publisher address indicates 1922 to 1939 for this impression Original full red cloth in vgc antiquarian conditin for age, with light rubbing to extremities of spine and outer corners of boards, light colour-fading to cloth, moderate general staining, and fading of gilt to titling and diagram on front board, which remain clear to see although no longer bright. Plain-pencilled imperial price to front paste-down; inked decimal price to ffep. 2mm tear to outer edge of leaf comprising pp. 59-60. No other faults found, and previous-owner markings found to any text pages. A very clean copy internally of this early impression, which in spite of the stained and faded boards remains a very good antiquarian original overall
