It appears to be the first impression of the second edition, which Worldcat records date to 1928 Original full cloth in good+ overall condition, with gilt titling to front board still bright but spine titling faded; light wear to extremities of spine; moderate wear to outer corners of front board. Front paste-down with old inked signature dated 19-5-39, and old pictorial Foyles of London address sticker. Leaves comprising pp. vii-x together but detached from binding: need rejoining with archival tape. Inner paper hinge between pp. 16 and 17 cracked and would benefit from strengthening too. Crease to lower outer corner of leaf comprising pp. 85-6. No other faults found.
