hb Aldrich, Elizabeth The Planet Neptune 1st Macoy Publishing and Masonic Supply Company, New York 1928 £105   Original small-format patterned cloth in vgc+ condition, with trace of wear to top of rear spine hinge and to lower outer corners of boards, else near-fine. Gilt titling to front board still mostly bright and strong. Pencilled signature of former owner Louise Jones to ffep, dated December 1968. She is suspected of having been a younger relative of Marc Edmund Jones, as her signature also features in some original copies of his books in the library, and his mother’s middle name was Louise, suggesting a family history of its use. No permanent markings or other faults found. Overall, an excellent copy of the rare first edition
