About this Book Scan
George Wilde was one of the more active members of the British astrological community in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and penned several original astrological books in his career.
Chaldean Astrology Up-to-Date (1901) was his second astrological textbook, following on from his co-authored Treatise of Natal Astrology (1894), which is also available for separate download from Astrolearn. Chaldean Astrology was reprinted in 1909, but our scan is reproduced in full colour from the 1901 first edition.
It is of some interest to note that Dr. Richard Garnett (a.k.a. A. G. Trent) edited this book. Some copies of Wilde’s earlier Treatise of Natal Astrology had been bound with Garnett’s essay The Soul and the Stars, which was also attributed to Garnett’s pseudonym of A. G. Trent, so it seems that the association between Wilde and Garnett was longstanding.
