About this Book Scan
Carefully scanned in full colour from our original printing of the bound volume for the fifth year of publication.
The Astrologer’s Magazine, edited by the team of William Frederick Allan (Alan Leo) and Frederick Lacey (Aphorel), entered its fifth and final year of publication in August 1894. All the internal content of the original issues (without the original separate issue covers or any end-leaves of advertisements that may have been included in them) is included in our scan of the bound volume as it was issued.
Following the appearance of the issue for July 1895, Alan Leo launched his own independent magazine called Modern Astrology, without Lacey. This effectively became the successor to The Astrologer’s Magazine and ensured the continuous availability of monthly news and articles on astrology overseen by Alan Leo for many years to follow. Scans of most years of Modern Astrology are expected also to be available for download from Astrolearn by the summer of 2021.
