About this Book Scan
Carefully scanned in full colour from our original printing of the greatly expanded second edition of 1908.
How to Judge a Nativity Part I was the third in Alan Leo’s series of astrological text-books after Astrology for All (Part I) and Casting the Horoscope / Astrology for All Part II. The second edition of 1908 was the last one to be issued under the present title before it was renamed How to Judge a Nativity as a result of the editorial decision to change the name of the book originally known as How to Judge a Nativity Part II to The Art of Synthesis.
The second edition of How to Judge a Nativity Part I, as reproduced here, is about 140 pages longer than the first as a result of extensive additions made between 1903 and 1908, and was the model for all later editions. The original edition of 1903 is also available as a download from Astrolearn at reduced cost, by way of comparison.
