About this Book Scan
Carefully scanned in full colour from our original printing of the undated 12th edition. Internal advertising for a book first published in 1927 shows that it cannot be earlier than this.
Alan Leo’s book Everybody’s Astrology was first published in 1901 as the first volume in what would eventually become a series of fourteen books he edited under the collective heading of Alan Leo’s Astrological Manuals. It underwent major revisions in subsequent editions and became one of his best-selling books, probably as a result of being geared towards the non-specialist reader with a casual interest in learning about astrological influences upon character more than towards the dedicated astrological student. It continued to be reprinted long after his death in 1917.
We here offer the 12th edition of approximately 1927 in representation of the final form in which the book was being sold between the wars, which we expect to be the same as the final form into which Leo personally edited it in his lifetime, though somewhat different from his earlier editions.
Also separately available from Astrolearn by way of comparison are scans of the early editions of 1901, 1904 and 1909, all of which predate the uniform green cloth binding format that had come into force for the entire series by 1911.
