About this Book Scan
Carefully scanned in full colour from our original printing of the limited second edition of 1866
In 1811, Sir William Drummond had published his controversial book Oedipus Judaicus, interpreting certain Old Testament Bible stories as allegorical depictions of the signs of the zodiac, in a very small print run. A limited second edition appeared in 1866, and this is faithfully reproduced here. Although there is no astrological instruction within its pages, the book forms an important part of the cultural astrology of the 19th century.
